Gabriele Biancheri has been in action for Wales’ under-21 side during European Championship qualification.
2026 hasn’t gone Gabriele Biancheri’s way so far, with his loan spell at Rotherham United not really getting off the ground, as the club itself is struggling.
Biancheri has yet to score on loan, while his minutes have been limited so far, although this could all change with a new manager appointed at Rotherham.
But now Biancheri has been back with his national side and among the goals.
______ is the main problem with Man United’s loan system😡

Gabriele Biancheri scores for Wales U21
Biancheri will be thrilled to have been on national duty, an escape from his Rotherham loan which hasn’t been successful so far.
However, for Wales U21 he sent an immediate reminder of his quality as he started with the number nine on his back.
Biancheri scored a great goal as Wales won 2-0, as he showed his awareness and instinct in the box.

A poor cross was put in toward him, but along the ground it looked easy for the Belarus defender to intercept. That was until Biancheri nipped in front of the defender to steal the ball and finished really well with a composed strike.
This composure and savviness in the box is a big reason why Biancheri will make it at the top level, as its not something that can be taught.

Manchester United loanee Biancheri reacts to Wales win vs Belarus
Speaking after the game with Welsh outlet Sgorio, Biancheri discussed his thoughts on the win.
“Yeah I know [It was a big win], we worked hard during the week in training and we executed the game plan. It’s nice to get the three points and score a goal.”
Continuing, he was asked about the manner in which he got the goal.
“Instincts, I saw the ball in the box and the defender was sleeping a bit so I saw a chance and I took it.”
Biancheri handling media duties so comfortably is also a credit to him and the United. Now hopefully he brings this form to Rotherham to finish the season on a high.
