Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona star Ferran Torres this summer, and the board are intrigued by the opportunity, according to TEAMtalk.
The Red Devils are in the market for a versatile forward during the upcoming transfer window as they look to rebuild their squad in the image of a system that has a back four, meaning they need more attacking options, having allowed Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Jadon Sancho to depart last year.
A left-winger is understood to be among the priorities, but the club are also keen to find someone who can play centrally with the future of Joshua Zirkzee uncertain, and now Torres has emerged as an option.

But as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at the Camp Nou this summer, it has now emerged that while talks over a new deal have been held, the two parties are not believed to be close to an agreement.
That has seen Barcelona explore potential avenues to sell the Spaniard, and with the club keen to re-sign Marcus Rashford for next season and beyond, they have told Man Utd that they would be open to a swap deal to help both of their situations.
It's understood that both deals would be kept completely separate, but United being able to seal a deal for Torres could soften their stance on Rashford departing on loan again. With regular first-team football something the former Man City star wants, he may be open to a return to the Premier League.
