Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas says 420 out of 450 NBA players today could break Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point record.
The recent 83-point performance by Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo has reignited questions about whether anyone could break Wilt Chamberlain's legendary 100-point record.
While many still consider reaching that milestone nearly impossible, NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas believes a majority of the league's players could achieve it under the right circumstances.
"If any NBA player gets hot and that ball is coming to them every single time down the court, can they get 100? Absolutely... Out of the 450, probably 420 of them could do it," Thomas said on the Run It Back podcast.
Currently, Adebayo's 83 points are the closest anyone has come to Wilt's 100-point game.
Historically, there have been only 16 games in which a player scored 70 or more points, with Chamberlain accounting for six of them.
