**Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice are among the players to have left the England squad and returned to their clubs following the draw with Uruguay.**
The Arsenal duo joined the squad on Friday and did not play against Uruguay but will now return to their club for medical assessments.
Their Arsenal team-mate [Noni Madueke has also left the squad after going off injured](https://hayters.com/arsenal-handed-another-major-injury-worry/) in the first half of the draw with Uruguay.
John Stones will also not play a part against Japan on Tuesday, having picked up an issue in training ahead of the game against Uruguay.
Adam Wharton, meanwhile, came on as a substitute against Uruguay but will not play next week after picking up a knock.
The others to leave the squad are Aaron Ramsdale, Fikayo Tomori and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
A revised squad of 27 players are now preparing for the friendly with Japan.
Dean Henderson, Nico O’Reilly, Ezri Konsa, Marc Guehi, Dan Burn, Elliot Anderson, Morgan Rogers, Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane will be available for the clash, however.
