Understatement of the year: the Golden State Warriors are shorthanded.

So shorthanded that there isn’t only one Curry on the injury report.

As the regular season races to the finish line, teams in the playoff and play-in mix are gearing up to try and achieve what they set out for at the start of training camp way back in late September.

That was a time the Warriors were perhaps in high spirits knowing they had a chance to go far with a full season ofStephen Curry andJimmy Butler together.

Fate has had other plans.

Golden State is navigating the end of season currently being tested with a plethora of concerning injuries. Fortunately, some help could finally be on the way.

Golden State Warriors drop encouraging injury update on key player

The season hit a new low earlier this week when rising star guardMoses Moody went down and out with a terrible knee injury that’ll instantly make one look away.

Moody was just the latest addition to a logjam of key contributors sidelined.

The other cloud over the team is the injury to Curry, and rightfully so. He is the face of the franchise and the engine to all hope. But fans being all caught up in the two-time MVP’s return date perhaps has made them forget all about another Curry.

Yes, that would be Steph Curry’s brother Seth Curry, who joined the Dubs before the start of the 2025-26 season.

The younger Curry has played minimally this year. Just four games actually. The 35-year-old has battled a variety of injuries this season, including sciatic nerve issues. He is currently recovering from a left adductor strain, a more minor ailment compared to what he dealt with earlier in the regular season.

The Warriors announced some good news today.

Theylisted Curry as questionable on the latest injury report, meaning there’s a chance he suits up for tomorrow night’s game against the Nuggets in Denver.

Curry’s return marks step in the right direction amid brutal season

Golden State will aim for just its 37th win of the season tomorrow. It would be a notable achievement if the team is able to get back to .500 sometime before the end of the 82-game slate. Curry’s return should assist in making that happen.

Being the brother of an all-time great athlete, especially if he is concurrently active, can place a lot of undue pressure on the lesser player. Curry has only been smiley and cheery as he has watched his older brother become arguably one of the 10 greatest basketball players ever.

Not only that, he has had a happy story of his own.

Curry has seen ups and downs throughout his career. He has been on multiple teams, but he has been a hands-down plus contributor on virtually every franchise he’s been with.

Perhaps his shining career moment came seven years ago in the Western Conference finals, where Curry’s Portland Trail Blazers came up against his brother’s Warriors.

Game 3 of the series saw the then-Blazers guard record 16 points, four steals and four 3-pointers. The older Curry’s team got the win, but it was a contest that had to have made mom and dad proud.

Now the two brothers are teammates in a wacky season.

Golden State is locked into the play-in tournament but needs to get healthier to make something productive out of the season.

With just eight regular season games to go the clock is ticking.
