John Harbaugh has a new chapter ahead of him, as he awaits his inaugural season as the head coach of the New York Giants. The longtime ex-Baltimore Ravens head coach was fired after a poor 2025 season saw them miss the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
He then joined the Giants where he is working towards their revival after years of poor performance. However, he is facing backlash due to a recent interview.
John Harbaugh responds to being told he sounds like Joe Biden
Harbaugh found himself in an awkward moment during a recent appearance on Barstool Sports’ popular podcast Pardon My Take. In the interview, the hosts said that his speaking voice resembles that of former U. S. President Joe Biden, after many fans pointed it out after his first press conference with the Giants back in January.

While it was meant to be a joke, Harbaugh did not seem to like the comparison and responded with displeasure. He said, “Oh yeah. You know, I’m not happy with that at all. I mean, I might have had a little sore throat that day. I got a little sore throat today. You know, Joe Biden, really?”
He then did a Biden impersonation with his voice after being asked, to which they responded he did sound like him. He joked about eating ice-cream, something that the former President was fond of. He later added, “I’m going to have to dispute that. I’m putting that in dispute right now. I’m not accepting that. I will not accept that comparison.”
Many fans did not appreciate how uncomfortable Harbaugh seemed with being told he had a similar voice to Biden. Some pointed out his closeness to current U. S. President Donald Trump, and thought it was why he felt like this.

Many fans felt Harbaugh was wrong for his awkward reaction to being told he sounds like Biden, and pointed out his history with Trump, who he once met in the White House and got an endorsement from when he was hired by the Ravens.
One user said, “He’s more upset about sounding like Biden than the last 5 years with the ravens”.
A second user remarked, “If you said he sounded like trump he would have lit up like a Christmas tree though”.
A third user commented, “he’s such an embarrassment lol”.
Another added, “My god no wonder this idiot lost the locker room years ago”.
A fifth user replied, “He’s only upset because Biden’s a Democrat”.
A sixth user wrote, “This pissed off the Republican in him”.
John Harbaugh will have to move on from this debacle and concentrate on the season ahead.
