Everton have been strongly linked with a move for Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer.
The Arsenal No.49 has slipped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta this season, with Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori preferred in the left-back department.
Everton are monitoring Lewis-Skelly as David Moyes continues to overlook Adam Aznou for a shot at left-back, while Vitalii Mykolenko could leave when his contract expires this summer.
However, a new story from the Guardian serves to suggest The Friedkin Group might target a more experienced player than the 19-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer.

Everton accept David Moyes prefers older players, and it could shape summer transfer policy
When revealing that Moyes is set to sign a new contract at Everton this summer, the Guardian mentioned that the Glaswegian is also likely to be given more of a say in recruitment.
It is also said that The Friedkin Group accept the fact the 62-year-old prefers to work with older players like Jack Grealish, rather than the aforementioned Aznou and Tyler Dibling, for example.
Dibling has only been given four starts in the Premier League since his £40m move from Southampton in August, and Moyes even publicly told the 20-year-old to improve.

The Friedkin Group have primarily tried to sign younger players, recruiting the likes of Charly Alcaraz, Thierno Barry, Merlin Rohl, Dibling and Aznou since taking over from Farhad Moshiri in December 2024.
However, Moyes – who the Guardian add was only seen as a temporary hire by The Friedkin Group initially – now seems to have won over his bosses with European football in sight, and looks set to have more control.
It means a more experienced left-back could be targeted instead of the teenage Lewis-Skelly, who has only made 37 appearances in the Premier League.
The Friedkin Group ideally want to sign younger options as they carry greater resale value and represent a more sustainable transfer policy, so a deal may still happen if Moyes gives the green light.
Will TFG have to move away from Moyes to achieve their recruitment model? 😬
Dan Friedkin.
However, with Moyes also keen to sign the 30-year-old Grealish and rumours suggesting he wants a reunion with the 31-year-old Tomas Soucek as well, a compromise might be made to leave Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal.
