Arsenal target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia comes with a glowing endorsement from ex-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The Gunners are reportedly eyeing the Paris Saint-Germain winger ahead of the summer transfer window.
Kvaratskhelia's sparkling performances previously helped Napoli secure the Serie A title before he made a £59.5million switch to PSG last January. His arrival was impeccably timed, as he played a crucial role in helping the French titans clinch their first Champions League trophy.
The 25-year-old has rapidly become an integral part of Luis Enrique's squad, netting 20 goals and providing 15 assists in 69 appearances for the club. While Kvaratskhelia has spoken warmly about his first year in Paris, Arsenal are said to be mulling over a high-profile swoop for the forward.
The Independent reports that the Gunners are considering a potential deal for Kvaratskhelia, who has emerged as a prime target for Mikel Arteta's side. It's claimed that the player's representatives are open to the move but any transfer fee would likely exceed the £59.5m that PSG paid for him.
Arsenal are rumoured to be considering a revamp of their forward line in the summer, with Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez mooted as another potential high-profile addition. Kvaratskhelia is regarded as one of the world's top wingers and former Liverpool boss Klopp has previously lauded his playing style.
"He has speed, he is cheeky, he goes inside, he can go outside, that makes it always really difficult," Klopp said after Liverpool took on Napoli in November 2022.
"A good player and I thought Trent played a really good game against him, he was really on fire, he was really in, didn't get frustrated by one or two situations where he was second-best, stayed in the game and I liked Trent's game tonight."
The Independent reports that Arsenal are plotting a major shake-up in the summer, despite their successful campaign so far, and the club would be willing to offload a senior player to finance their transfer plans. Kvaratskhelia is being targeted due to his individual talent and potential to strengthen Arteta's squad, although PSG would put up a fight to retain the Georgia captain.
Kvaratskhelia has proven himself against several English teams at PSG, given the European champions' recent run of knocking Premier League sides out of the Champions League. In a setback to Arsenal's aspirations of signing the winger, he seems to be relishing his time in the French capital.

"For me, Paris is truly extraordinary," Kvaratskhelia told Le Parisien. "You have everything here, and above all, this is the city of love. When PSG contacted me, I thought my wife was the happiest person in the world.
"Before PSG contacted me, she always said, 'Imagine if one day we play for PSG, it would be amazing to stay there.' In my mind, I think it's very difficult to go there when there are great players like [Lionel] Messi, Neymar and [Kylian] Mbappe.
"I love everything about Paris. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate how respectful the people are there."
He has played 37 matches so far this season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists. Kvaratskhelia has already clinched an astonishing six major titles with PSG and will be keen to increase his trophy collection this campaign.
