After the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated from the playoff contention, Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a cryptic message on social media: "Prayin' on my downfall don't make you religious."
The Milwaukee Bucks have officially been eliminated from the 2025-26 postseason contention following a heavy loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and Giannis Antetokounmpo responded with a cryptic message.

Antetokounmpo, who has repeatedly said he wants to compete for championships, posted two photos from the weight room with the caption: "Prayin' on my downfall don't make you religious."
The post comes amid reports of a disagreement between the two-time MVP and the Bucks organization over whether he should be shut down for the remainder of the season after suffering a left knee hyperextension with a bone bruise on March 16.
Media personality Shannon Sharpe even compared Antetokounmpo's situation to an old car waiting to be sold.
"That's a car, I know I want to get rid of it. I wanna park it. I will have it cleaned up, and I'm gonna sit it in the garage," Sharpe said. "Y'all come look at it if you want it. Cause the more I drive it, the more chances somebody running into me. Or I'm not paying attention to, and somebody run and I run into somebody, now I decrease the value of it."
Bucks co-owner Wes Edens indicated that the franchise does not intend to keep the situation uncertain, saying the two-time MVP will either sign an extension or be moved.
Giannis, who won both MVP and Finals MVP honors during the 2021 NBA Finals, has spent his entire NBA career with Milwaukee.
