Barcelona’s attacking dynamics this season have been anything but predictable.

With Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres both facing scrutiny at different stages, the spotlight has constantly shifted between the two forwards.

For large parts of the campaign, it was Ferran who stepped up when needed.

The Spaniard delivered consistently during the first half of the season, often filling in effectively and providing energy to the frontline.

However, as the campaign has progressed into its decisive phase, the momentum has swung back in favour of Lewandowski.

Despite facing an uncertain future, the Polish striker, who had been struggling to find consistency earlier in the season, is now showing clear signs of resurgence.

Under Hansi Flick, Lewandowski now appears sharper, more involved, and increasingly decisive in front of goal.

According to reports from SPORT, Flick’s management has played a key role in bringing the best out of the veteran forward once again.

After going through one of his most difficult periods since arriving at Barcelona, Lewandowski has rediscovered his scoring instinct at exactly the right time.

His recent performances highlight that shift, as a brace against Newcastle United in the Champions League knockout stage served as a statement display, reminding everyone of his quality on the biggest stage.

That momentum has carried over to international duty as well, where he played a decisive role for Poland in a narrow World Cup qualifying win over Albania.

Statistically speaking, Lewandowski has already scored nine goals in 2026 across club and country.

Interestingly, this resurgence comes in a season where his overall minutes have been significantly reduced.

With around 1,950 minutes played so far, this is his least active campaign since joining Barcelona.

As a result, his total goal tally may not reach previous heights. However, numbers alone do not tell the full story, as Lewandowski’s role within the team has evolved.

He is no longer expected to carry the attack single-handedly but instead contributes in crucial moments, something he is now doing with increasing consistency.
