In 2021 at Boise State, he redshirted and saw limited action. The following season, he emerged as a breakout player, earning Mountain West Freshman of the Year honors after accounting for over 2,600 total yards and 24 touchdowns.
By 2023, he helped lead Boise State to a conference championship and delivered a standout performance in the title game. After that season, he entered the transfer portal and moved to Arkansas.
In 2024, Green took a major step forward in the SEC, throwing for over 3,100 yards while starting every game. Then, in 2025, he improved his touchdown production but continued to struggle with turnovers, finishing with 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, while adding 777 rushing yards.
