Meath take on Cork in the National Football League Division 2 final.

Ultan Corcoran brings you all the action from Croke Park, with throw in at 1.45pm.

Brendan Griffin's whistle sounds and it's all over for another year in Division 2 as the Royals reign supreme in Croke Park! A massive second-half improvement from Robbie Brennan's men, as Cork faded midway through that period of the game.

It'll be a sweet victory for Meath fans too, given the Rebels were the only side to beat them over the course of the league campaign. Eoghan Frayne climbs the Hogan Stand steps to lift the cup!

Those late substitutions - namely James Conlon who kicked 0-4 off the bench - proved to be the difference. Cork just didn't have that punch off the bench aside from Brian Hurley getting their second goal late on.

Jack O'Connor of Meath celebrates. Sportsfile.

GOAL! With Menton out of the game, Cork take advantage of their numerical superiority. Chris Og Jones plays it to his left where Brian Hurley lurks and slots the ball low beneath Sean Brennan for the Rebels' second goal and a big lifeline!

Bryan Menton pulls up with a bit of a calf issue after stabbing the ball along to Killian Smyth. The corner-back feeds James Conlon on the right who kicks fourth point of the game since coming on as a sub - talk about impact!

Cork's attack has become somewhat anonymous in the last 15 minutes - Steven Sherlock brings that scoreless spell to an end with his ninth point.

Meath stretch their advantage out to five through Ciaran Caulfield - amazingly, it's the first score by a Meath half-back today.

O'Connor had a quiet first-half but he leaves with 1-2 scored after the break.

Meath are starting to open up a considerable lead with 10 minutes remaining. Frayne again from a placed ball.

Cork bring some energy into the half-back line in the form of Castlehaven's Rory Maguire.

Meath win a free just outside the 20-metre line and Eoghan Frayne curls it into the breeze. It's tight, but he just about managed to make it draw inside the post on time! The Royals three to the good now.

The St.Colmcille's man is running riot now, the goal chance was on but he pulled back to make space and chip over a point from an acute angle.

The lead changes hands as Meath go in front through James Conlon's second point of the game after some hard graft from Eoghan Frayne.

The Royals bring on fresh legs at corner-back in Castletown's Killian Smyth.

Cork goalkeeper Patrick Doyle's kick-out doesn't travel the required distance - that lets Eoghan Frayne convert a free to tie things up nicely.

The Rebels introduce the experienced Ruairi Deane into the half-forwards. Maurice Shanley has returned to play after his brief blood substitution.

He appeared to score his first point moments ago only for play to be brought back and Sean Brennan missed from two-point range. Nonetheless, James Conlon has got himself on the scoresheet now.

Corner-back Shanley looks a bit shook up as he departs the field, we'll see if he makes a return soon. Kevin O'Donovan takes his place.
