“I Hate Him More Than Cowboys”: Eagles Nation Fuels “Lot of Hate” to Torch Donald Trump at No…

There is no sports rivalry quite like the Philadelphia Eagles–Dallas Cowboys. In Philadelphia, it lives “rent-free” year-round, not just from September through January, but as a measuring stick for passion at political protests, too.

On Saturday, many Eagles fans joined the “No Kings 3” rally in Center City, bringing their team colors and an energy normally reserved for a high-stakes December divisional matchup against Dallas.

Thousands of Philadelphians gathered at City Hall and LOVE Park before marching down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This was part of the third nationwide “No Kings” protest against the Trump administration, specifically targeting ICE operations, the 2026 Iran war, and what organizers called authoritarian overreach.

With an estimated 8 to 9 million participants across more than 3,300 events, it has been recognized as the largest single-day protest in American history.

Eagles Nation reignites rivalry with Cowboys in anti-Trump rally

The Philadelphia Eagles–Dallas Cowboys rivalry is the most intense in the NFC. After sweeping Dallas on their way to a Super Bowl LIX title, the Eagles opened the 2025 season by raising their championship banner against them at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles’ 24-20 victory was marked by a one-hour lightning delay and the early ejection of Jalen Carter for spitting on Dak Prescott. Then in theNovember rematch, Prescott led a 21-point comeback to give Dallas a 24–21 victory, snapping Philadelphia’s winning streak.

That animosity isn’t limited to the football field. During Saturday’s “No Kings 3” protest, one fan carried a sign that read, “I Hate Trump More Than the Dallas Cowboys, Go Birds.”

An Eagles-branded banner near City Hall made the connection even clearer, reading, “Go Birds F— ICE, Free Palestine.” For many in the crowd, their identity as fans was part of the protest, not just a side note.

While the Cowboys’ jokes provided the punchline, the actual grievances were serious. Protesters focused on ICE raids, the war with Iran, and the rising cost of living.

Jerry Jones’ team finished 2025 at 7–9–1 and missed the playoffs. Philadelphia made the postseason but lost in the Wild Card round despite being the defending Super Bowl champion. With two matchups set for 2026, the rivalry and the tension are not going anywhere.
