Bank helps Bridgeport youth program impacted by federal budget cuts

Connecticut Community Bank has stepped in to fund a reward trip for the Bridgeport nonprofit "Color a Positive Thought" after federal budget cuts threatened to cancel the event. "The kids we're really looking forward to attending a pro basketball game in New York -- but we almost had to cancel it," said Harry Bell, who heads up the nonprofit youth program. But the bank's sponsorship allowed 20 children to attend a New York Knicks game.

"We appreciate the help so much," said Bell.
