The Hornets need a quick bounce back after a disappointing loss to the 76ers in which they suddenly could not buy a bucket from three in the second half. They need to show some mental resolve and not let that uncharacteristically poor shooting stay in their heads. They’re going to need it against a Boston team that’s going to try and go shot for shot from deep.
The Celtics are peaking at the right time. They’ve won six of their last seven, including a ten point win over the Thunder a couple of games ago. Jayson Tatum hasn’t fully hit his stride yet, but he’s fully capable of finding his groove at any moment and causing all sorts of problems. The Hornets catch a break by missing Jaylen Brown, but Payton Pritchard and Derrick White (if he plays) provide plenty of offensive firepower.
Every win is important now, especially after that loss yesterday. The Hornets know that. Hopefully they’re still able to play freely and get their groove back.
