Myles Garrett #95 of the Cleveland Browns looks on during the second quarter in the game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on October 26, 2025 in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The Detroit Lions remain equipped with the draft capital to make a move on the trade market in the coming weeks and months, but it doesn’t appear that Myles Garrett will be there for them if they do.

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry spoke with reporters at the NFL’s annual meeting in Phoenix on Sunday, March 29 and stated that the team does not plan to trade Garrett even after adjusting his contract language last week to make doing so easier every offseason from now until his $160 million extension expires following the 2030 campaign.

“lf we wanted to trade Myles, we wouldn’t have needed to make a contract adjustment. So it doesn’t have anything to do with that,” Berry explained. “Myles is a career Brown. He is one of the faces of our organization. I think we’ve been very clear both past and present.”

Analysts have mentioned Detroit as a potential destination for Garrett, if Cleveland puts him on the market at any point, as well as Las Vegas Raiders edge-rusher Maxx Crosby to serve as a pairing alongside superstar defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.

Adding either Garrett or Crosby to the mix in Detroit would create perhaps the best pass-rush tandem in the league and, coupled with the Lions’ elite offense, would likely render the team immediate Super Bowl contenders.
