Ron Harper Jr. sprained his ankle in the second quarter of Sunday’s Celtics game against the Charlotte Hornets. The team announced that he is questionable to return with the injury.
Before the injury, Harper Jr. was playing some of his best basketball of the season. He tallied 7 points on 3-3 shooting, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block. The Celtics outscored the Hornets by 12 points in his 10 minutes on the floor.
Harper Jr. was seen wincing on the bench and chatting with the Celtics medical staff before he headed to the locker room.
This season, Harper Jr. has appeared in 24 games, averaging 3.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game. He’s on a two-way contract with the Celtics that could be converted before the end of the season.
He recorded a career-best 22 points in a game against the San Antonio Spurs last month.
