Brown’s post instantly resonated with the fan base, serving as a direct response to critics who questioned the team’s ceiling amidst major offseason roster changes and Jayson Tatum's Achilles injury.
The “gap year” narrative has been a popular talking point among national analysts, yet Boston’s results this season tell a different story. Brown’s ability to elevate his game in big moments and the Celtics' incredible consistency from top to bottom have quieted many doubters and reinforced the belief that this group remains a legitimate contender.
In the 2025-26 season, Jaylen Brown has played 65 games and averaged 28.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three.
He has delivered multiple 30-point efforts in March, including a 31-point, eight-assist performance against Oklahoma City on March 25.
