Apparently, four teams are now positioning themselves for a blockbuster deal involving the Greek superstar.
“So there's 16 teams, they think they're in it, two weeks later, there's eight teams that are out. That's where I think the Houstons, the Orlandos are gonna merge. The Knicks, Cleveland, that's the group I'm looking at,” NBA writer Kirk Goldsberry of The Ringer noted.
Antetokounmpo has two more years left in his max contract, with 2027-28 being a player option. He will be extension-eligible by October 1st.
If he won't pursue one, chances can't be higher that the Bucks will finally move on from their franchise big man.
Giannis saw himself being subjected to countless trade speculations all season. But amid hot pursuit of several teams, he ultimately remained in Milwaukee past the trade deadline.
