One of the biggest stories throughout the offseason has been the Philadelphia Eagles and the possibility of trading away wide receiver AJ Brown. On Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was asked about the ongoing AJ Brown saga and if there is a trade happening. However, Roseman did not disclose any information.

“I understand that there’s interest in the AJ Brown story. Unfortunately, I don’t have a home under a rock. But my answer to any question on AJ Brown is that AJ Brown is a member of the Eagles. From my perspective, anything you ask me about AJ Brown, I’m going to go right back to that answer. But I understand the interest. I put on TV and I see that there’s interest. But my answer is AJ Brown is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Hollywood Brown to a one-year contract earlier this month, so they have a replacement if they do decide to deal away AJ Brown. If they were to trade AJ Brown after June 1, they would reduce the dead money in the deal from more than $40 million to about $16.3 million. However, it is not known if this is something the Philadelphia Eagles front office or Brown actually wants, and it is mere speculation.

AJ Brown is still an excellent wide receiver as he finished last season with 78 receptions on 121 targets for 1,003 yards (12.9 yards per catch) with seven receiving touchdowns. However, he only had three catches on seven targets for 25 yards (8.3 yards per reception) in the playoffs. It will be intriguing to see what type of offers teams are going to send Philly’s way to try to trade for Brown.
