The 2026 Patriots roster added two former Buccaneers and now the Eagles have one, as well.
Earlier this month, inside linebacker K.J. Britt became a Patriot, and so did cornerback Kindle Vildor. Both were goats of Bucs past, 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Now, the Eagles have signed edge rusher Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, the Buccaneers’ 2021 first-round draft pick. He spent last season bouncing from the Browns to the Bears, and now he has a new home.
In general, first-round picks almost always get at least second and third chances in the NFL. Varous general managers loved them in the draft process and think they can extract greatness where other could ot.
The Joe typing here talked about re-signing Tryon-Shoyinka recently on the _Ira Kaufman Podcast_. He’s better than incumbent Bucs edge rushers Chris Braswell and Markees Watts, and Tryon-Shoyinka has so much athleticism, he has a ton of potential on special teams.
Joe will be interested to see if Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio can pull something from JTS; Jim Schwarz with the Browns could not.
