David Adelman is the head coach of the Denver Nuggets.
As the Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors battled on Sunday, March 29, the veteran forward Cam Johnson left the game with a setback.
During the third quarter, Johnson started dealing with a back injury. He went to the locker room to get checked out.
Shortly after Johnson parted for the locker room, the Nuggets officially ruled him “questionable” to return.
Johnson checked out with the setback after 19 minutes of action.
He was shooting 2-5 from the field, with both of his makes coming from deep, where he shot 50.0%. Johnson also produced three assists, while coming down with one rebound, and picking up one block and one steal.

The 30-year-old forward is in the midst of his first season with the Nuggets.
Coming out of the University of North Carolina, Johnson was drafted in the first round (11th overall) in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The veteran forward’s career started with the Phoenix Suns. He spent the first four years of his career playing for the Suns.
In 200 games, Johnson averaged 10.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. He shot 44.4% from the field and 39.6% from three during his Suns tenure.

Amid the 2022-2023 NBA season, Johnson was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. He spent the past three seasons with the Nets before getting moved to the Nuggets. Denver swapped out its former first-round standout, Michael Porter Jr.
Since joining the Nuggets, Johnson has 49 starts under his belt. This season, Johnson is making 46.8% of his shots from the field and knocking down 42.6% of his threes to average 11.9 points per game. He also produced 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
The Nuggets are working on improving to 48-28 on the year. Entering Sunday’s action, the Nuggets ranked fourth in the Western Conference, trailing the Los Angeles Lakers by 1.5 games. They’ve won five games in a row.
