Bam Adebayo admits he and his teammates are frustrated with just being in the Play-In

The Miami Heat continue to be one of the most puzzling teams in the NBA. They were coming off a lengthy winning streak, but they then suffered a losing streak. Now, they lost to the Indiana Pacers, the worst team in the Eastern Conference.

It is one of the worst results of the season because the Heat should have won the game. Unfortunately, they had a bad performance, as they gave up 135 points to the Pacers, while only scoring 118 points.

Adebayo and the Heat are frustrated to just be in the Play-In

At the start of the 2025-26 season, the Heat were quite a promising team. They were rolling out a new offensive system, as they were running and gunning against the best teams in the league.

They were winning too, but they started to show some cracks in the system. The Heat started losing, and it has been a rollercoaster ride for the fans ever since. They can go on lengthy winning streaks, but that leads to long losing streaks, too.

It has been the story of the season for the Heat because they are not consistent enough. That is why they are in the Play-In Tournament spots.

They can still reach the automatic berth with the sixth seed, but it looks unlikely with each loss. Now, Adebayo and his teammates are struggling to deal with being in the Play-In Tournament again.

"I get that at least we’re in the Play-In, but like nobody wants to be in that. So for us, we really gotta buckle down and get after it," Adebayo said after the loss to the Pacers.

Adebayo is one of the most committed players on the Heat roster, so him being disheartened is normal. He and the rest of the players will do their best to reach the Playoffs, but it might have to be done through the Play-In Tournament.
