The Chicago Bears finished with an 11-6 record last season in the NFL. Chicago’s defense was not so strong last season up front. This offseason, they need to find a way to make a move for a star defensive lineman.

One player that the Cleveland Browns don’t plan on trading is defensive end Myles Garrett. However, would a trade between Chicago and Cleveland make sense for him?

Fansided.com writer Austen Bundy created a mock trade between Chicago and Cleveland. He would have the Browns trading away Myles Garrett and a sixth-round selection to the Bears for a first-round and a second-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, a 2027 first-round pick, and defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo. Bundy said,
“Myles Garrett is about to become a hot commodity no matter if theCleveland Brownssay he’s unavailable to be traded. Multiple teams are going to blow up general manager Andrew Berry’s phone, especially with Garrett’scontract language being modifiedto make a move easier, but the Chicago Bears should be making the hardest push.
After quarterback Caleb Williams redeemed himself last season from an abysmal rookie year, the Bears in 2025 looked like a team needing just one defensive piece to seriously contend for a Super Bowl. Myles Garrett could very well be that piece and Chicago has the capital necessary to make a deal happen.”
Garrett last season recorded 60 tackles, 23 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one pass deflection. He is 30 years old. There is no doubt that he has a hefty contract. Chicago would have to give up a lot to get him. With that being said, the Browns probably have no plans to trade him anyways.
