Joao Pedro has made some very interesting comments about his Chelsea teammate Estevao Willian and some of Brazil’s football legends from the past.
Pedro and Estevao share the same dressing room at Chelsea but are also both part of the same Brazil squad.
Pedro was recently asked if he is happy at Chelsea, to which the forward replied yes. He has also been discussing Estevao.

Joao Pedro suggests Chelsea teammate Estevao Willian is a modern-day version of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Romario
Pedro has defended Brazil’s attackers amid criticism, with things yet to fully click between the Chelsea star, Estevao, Vinicius Jr and Raphinha.
According to Pedro, there is so much pressure as a result of Brazil winning the World Cup in the past with the likes of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Romario.
However, the 24-year-old thinks the Brazil of today also have players like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Romario, with Estevao, Vinicius Jr and Raphinha all playing for big European clubs just as that trio did.

Speaking to ESPN about Estevao and the Selecao’s other forward players, he said: “Back in the day we had Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Romario, but if you look at football today, Brazil has players like that.
“There’s Vini at Real Madrid, Raphinha at Barcelona, me and Estevao at Chelsea, and Andrey [Santos], too. They all play for top clubs.”
For as much quality as Estevao, Vinicius Jr and Raphinha have, they will never be on the same level as the above names until they win a World Cup.
Estevao could easily be a starter for Brazil in the summer after shining at Stamford Bridge this season.
Estevao Willian’s Brazil record
Right now, it would not be far-fetched to say that Estevao is Brazil’s most reliable forward.
Vinicius Jr and Raphinha are better players and much further ahead in their development than Estevao. However, they have not really shown their club level while wearing Brazil’s famous yellow jersey.
In contrast, Estevao has excelled while playing for his country and already has five goals in 11 caps. That record is only likely to increase when Brazil jet off to the World Cup in the summer.
For now, Estevao and Pedro need to concentrate on helping Chelsea get back into the top five so that they can qualify for the Champions League.
