Kim Little agrees new contract with Arsenal Women

Little extends Arsenal stay

Kim Little has settled on a new one-year deal with Arsenal Women.

The Scot signed for Arsenal in 2017 after having spent five years in North London with the club during her first stint between 2008 and 2013.

In her second spell with the side, she has won the Women’s League Cup three times, the Women’s Super League once, and lifted the Women’s Champions League in May 2025 thanks to a historic 1-0 victory over Barcelona in Lisbon.

The new year has brought more milestones for Little. She has now hit four centuries of appearances for Arsenal, who recently thrashed Tottenham 5-2 in the North London derby, and was part of the group that won the inaugural FIFA Women's Champions Cup.

What did Slegers say about Little?

Head coach Renee Slegers shared her joy at the announcement and is happy to work with Little for another campaign. Her leadership on and off the field remains an invaluable asset for the side.

“There's a lot of work that Kim does that is under the radar, even though her metrics look very good. She does a lot of things you almost can't measure; how she helps the team, how she keeps the distance short, how she connects, how she covers spaces and covers for others to be able to play their role.

“There's a lot about Kim and her game, the way she contributes and helps us, and then her leadership and who she is off the pitch. She is 100% always in everything she does. She is consistent with everything she does. With who she is and how she does things, she's such a rock for the team.

“I just feel very privileged to work with Kim. We are creating something and Kim is a big part of it. I know she's been around for a long time, so she's been so loyal to the club for so long.

“She's been so consistent for so long, so I highly respect Kim. I think what we do at the moment is a lot of collaboration with the captain's group, with Kim, our captain, and get as much input as possible on things. I highly value that. She's such an important part of what we're building.”
