Borussia Dortmund's Daniel Svensson has been quizzed on transfer links with Arsenal

Versatile Borussia Dortmund starlet Daniel Svensson insists he's taking no notice of transfer speculation amid links with Arsenal.

The 24-year-old, who can play as a midfielder, left back or left wing-back, has found himself at the centre of rumours over the past few months.

Real Madrid are said to be scouting him while Arsenal and Leeds United have been earmarked as potential suitors for the end of the season.

However, the Swede - speaking while away on international duty - is adamant he's not being distracted.

He said ahead of Sweden's World Cup play-off against Poland: “I’m just focusing on Dortmund. That’s where I am and I’m really enjoying it. It’s not something I have any focus on. We have important games left in the season.

“I haven’t heard anything about it, to be honest. I have nothing to say about it. Because I don’t know anything about it. It’s not something I’m thinking about. But it’s clear that it’s fun."

When pushed on whether he would consider leaving Dortmund this summer, Svensson replied: “No, I wouldn’t say that. I’m really happy in Dortmund. I haven’t been there for that long. I feel like I have more to do there. I’m really happy to be there."

Arsenal are not expected to be in the market for a new left-back this summer because loanee Piero Hincapie will join on a permanent transfer from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee in the region of £45million.

There is however doubt over the future of Myles Lewis-Skelly due to his lack of playing time this season at the Emirates Stadium.

The England international, who was recently part of Lee Carsley's U21 squad, has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United.

In an ideal world, Arsenal would like to keep Lewis-Skelly but given they are currently unable to offer him assurances of minutes, he may seek to consider his options at the end of the season.

'MLS' had looked on course to make Thomas Tuchel's England World Cup squad 12 months ago when he netted his first international goal last March in Tuchel's first game at the helm against Albania at Wembley. He has not been in the senior Three Lions fold since back in October.
