NFL Draft: Baltimore Ravens linked to ideal Isaiah Likely replacement

The Baltimore Ravens are acting this offseason likek they arne’t trying to retool, rather reload as new head coach Jesse Minter arrives. In the NFL Draft, the Ravens could get Lamar Jackson a weapon.

That’s especially true after initially attempting to trade for All-Pro pass rusher Maxx Crosby before that deal fell through only to sign All-Pro Trey Hendrickson, instead. As the NFL Draft approaches, though, Baltimore has a sizable hole to fill in Jackson’s supporting cast on offense.

Over at USATODAY Sports’ RavensWire, reporter Geoffrey Knox argues that Ohio State tight end Max Klare could be the perfect target for Baltimore with the No. 45 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft.

“Max Klare hauled in 43 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns,” Knox writes of the former Ohio State standout. “En route to First-team All-Big Ten honors. He stands at six-foot-four. He weighs 246 pounds and should be proud of how he has bounced back from a 2023 season-ending ankle injury.”

Adding Klare with one of the Ravens’ early picks would be a big step towards replacing stalwart pass-catching tight end Isaiah Likely, who followed former Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh to the New York Giants early in free agency.
