NFL Writer Urges Former Patriots WR Stefon Diggs To Land With AFC Rival

The Patriots parted ways with wide receiver Stefon Diggs three weeks ago, and he is still a free agent.

Diggs held off until the end of last March to sign with New England, which opens up the possibility that he could choose a new team soon. Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport believes he should consider signing with the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Bringing in Stefon Diggs wouldn't be a weird move, though," Davenport wrote on Monday. "The Chiefs need to add a wide receiver to a room that currently sports Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and not much else. Kansas City has also made something of a habit of bringing in veteran wide receivers who were cast off by other teams."

Diggs has played in the NFL for 11 seasons and recently wrapped up a year in which he recorded 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.

Although Diggs may be nearing the end of his career, he could definitely provide a boost to the Chiefs' passing game. He played with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen; the opportunity to team up with Patrick Mahomes would be incredible, since both could be considered the top talents of their generation.
