Elliot Anderson was asked about his future at Nottingham Forest as he spoke to the media while on international duty with Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal and Chelsea have both been credited with transfer interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer, who has been linked with an exit from the City Ground.
The midfielder is still under contract with Forest until 2029, having arrived from Newcastle United on a £35 million deal in 2024. Anderson has gone from strength to strength in the Midlands and suitors could offer him the chance of Champions League football next season.
Football Insider reported last month that Chelsea are ‘keen admirers’ of the player’s ability amid questions over the future of Enzo Fernandez, Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo at Stamford Bridge. It’s added that it would take a £100 million offer for Nottingham Forest to green light a sale, with Manchester City currently frontrunners.
Anderson has plenty to focus on with a World Cup place up for grabs and Nottingham Forest bogged down in a relegation fight. He was asked whether transfer talk was a distraction right now.
On Monday, he said: “Obviously we’ve got the World Cup this summer, so all my eyes are on that. Playing for England, I’ve got the badge on now and that’s all I’m thinking about at the moment.
“Ultimately, all the games are the same [club v country]. I’m going on the pitch and trying to give my best to fight for whatever strip I’ve got on.
“We’re all competing with each other but are really good mates in the group. There’s a great balance, the competitiveness is there but we are really enjoying it.”

Last week, Sky Sports had also put Arsenal in the running for a potential Anderson transfer swoop. Mikel Arteta has had to make do without the services of Mikel Merino since January and the club had been linked with a swoop for another midfielder at the end of the January window.
"He has a contract until 2029, an England international and he is 23 years old. A shining light in what has been a poor season at the City Ground. He can play as a six, eight or further forward. He is going to be a key part of the England squad.
"He is really relaxed and loves Forest, his focus is on keeping them in the Premier League. It feels like a domino situation as to who goes where."
