The NFL’s annual owners meeting happens every year around the end of March. It gives every owner, GM, and head coach the opportunity to talk to reporters, vote on rule changes, and discuss plans for the upcoming season.
However, this season there was something fans noticed about the coaches picture that rubbed them the wrong way.

NFL Head Coach Picture Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons
Immediately after the photo was posted to the internet fans noticed how few black head coaches there are in the league:

There was nothing like this year’s NFL head coach hiring cycle. Mike Tomlin (resigned from the Pittsburgh Steelers) and John Harbaugh (fired by the Baltimore Ravens) both left their respective teams. Both are future hall of famers.
Following their playoff loss to the Denver Broncos, the Buffalo Bills fired beloved head coach Sean McDermott. A decision that upset a lot of fans.
The Bills promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach, while Harbaugh took over as head coach of the New York Giants. Other new coaches include: Kevin Stefanski (Atlanta Falcons), Jesse Minter (Baltimore Ravens), Todd Monken (Cleveland Browns), Klint Kubiak (Las Vegas Raiders), Mike LaFleur (Arizona Cardinals), Jeff Hafley (Miami Dolphins) and Mike McCarthy (Pittsburgh Steelers).
Robert Saleh (Tenneesee Titans) was the only minority head coach hired by a team. With all of the controversy surrounding the Rooney Rule lately, it will be interesting if the NFL pushes for more diversity among head coaches in the most famous league in the Nation.
