All the early injury news surrounding Chelsea and Port Vale ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final.

Vale have struggled this season, currently bottom of League One and all set for League Two, now 14 points from safety with two games in hand after being on the wrong end of a hammering against Wycombe Wanderers last time out. Here we round up the early injury news surrounding both sides going into this game.

Ben Heneghan - Out

Heneghan is working his way back from a lengthy issue.

Ryan Croasdale - Doubt

Croasdale is said to be getting closer to a return, and while this one may come too soon, he will be a doubt until ruled out.

George Byers - Out

Byers has been dealing with injuries all season and is expected to miss out here.

Jayden Stockley - Out

Stockley has picked up a calf issue and will be absent.

Filip Jorgensen - Out

Jorgensen was injured in the first leg against PSG and will be out until later in April.

Reece James - Out

Rosenior has said: “We're going to look more after the international break. It's not serious, but there is something in his hamstring, and that's something that we will monitor after the international week.” James is likely to be out for another week or so.

Benoit Badiashile - Fit

Badiashile battled injury before the break but will be back after it.

Trevoh Chalobah - Out

Chalobah will be out until May. Rosenior has said: “Fortunately, it's nowhere near as serious as we first feared. It's still a serious injury, but we're looking at a period of maybe six weeks, which is disappointing, but from where we were a couple of days ago, we are in a better place than what we thought.”

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens - Doubt

Gittens has not returned as quickly as possible. It’s hoped he will be back after the break. Until we hear more, he will go down as a doubt.

Levi Colwill - Out

Rosenior has said: “He's hitting all of the benchmarks that he needs to, but we need to keep making sure that he keeps going past certain levels. We want to see him out there ASAP, but within the right timeframe. Yeah, hopefully, this season, which would be a massive boost.” Colwill is not ready yet.

Mykhailo Mudryk (Suspended)

Mudryk is suspended. A club statement in the summer read: “We can confirm that Mykhailo Mudryk has been charged with Anti-Doping Rule Violations alleging the presence and/or use of a prohibited substance, in terms of Regulations 3 and 4 of The FA's Anti-Doping Regulations. As this is an ongoing case, we are not in a position to comment further at this time.” Mudryk is not included in the final count due to the nature of his absence.
