Arsenal are considered the favourites to sign striker Nicolò Tresoldi in the summer, amidst reports that Sporting Director Andrea Berta has already begun talks with his current team Club Brugge.
Although born and raised in Italy, he and his family moved to Germany in 2017, and he has dual citizenship, qualified to play for Italy, Argentina and Germany. It is with the latter that he has chosen to play international football so far, having won 23 caps for them at under-21 level, and scored 12 goals, including a recent brace against Northern Ireland.
He began his playing career with Hannover, before moving to the Belgian side last summer. Since then he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists, with his performances coming to the attention of a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich.
But Arsenal are reported to be at the head of the queue for a player who cost Club Brugge just £6.5m, but for whom they will be able to charge a premium as he is under contract until 2029.
