Man City star Erling Haaland buys ultra-rare car, one of only 150 made - it’s cost him a fortune

As the Premier League’s highest-paid player, and a lover of cars, it may not come as a huge surprise to learn that Erling Haaland boasts a luxury car collection that’s now reportedly worth a staggering £10 million.

The Manchester City striker, who earns an eye-watering £525,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium, has added to his impressive collection by splashing out on a new ultra-rare car - one of just 150 available to purchase.

Haaland, who currently leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot award with 22 goals and also has an outside chance of winning the European Golden Shoe, started the 2025-26 season by spending big on a new Ferrari.

And now, as we approach the end of the campaign, Haaland has decided to snap up an ultra-rare car that’s cost him a whopping £400,000.

Haaland's New Luxury Car Revealed

The car in question, according to The Sun, is a limited edition Maybach Virgil Abloh. One of just 150 models made, the luxury limousine is the final bespoke S-Class variant and has a two-tone exterior colour scheme.

It boasts a glossy Obsidian Black on the top half, while a sand hue beautifully lights up the lower segment, side flanks and wheel rims.

The car is named after the late American fashion designer Virgil Abloh, who tragically died aged 41 in 2021 from a rare type of cancer. He was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton.

The left-hand drive car is powered by a huge twin turbo 6.0L V12 biturbo engine and can reach a top speed of 155 mph. It can also go from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds.

The £400,000 Maybach Virgil Abloh joins Haaland’s remarkable car collection which also features a £350,000 Aston Martin DBX 707 (a special edition Formula 1 safety car), a £300,000 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a £160,000 Porsche 911 GT3.

Haaland’s new car is worth 10 times more than the relatively modest £40,000 Volkswagen that his Manchester City teammate Josko Gvardiol drives to training in.

While he might be a car fanatic, Haaland’s focus will be on helping Manchester City end the current season as strongly as possible. They’ve just won the Carabao Cup final and now have their sights set on chasing down league-leaders Arsenal in the title race.
