The Seattle Seahawks will reportedly feature on 'Hard Knocks' this summer, just months after winning the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.

The NFL's Annual League Meeting is taking place this week in Phoenix, Arizona, with Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay brutally dismissing a rule change proposed by the Cleveland Browns. Elsewhere at the event, Patriots owner Robert Kraft has backed an 18-game NFL season, attaching three conditions to the proposal that are dividing opinion across the NFL.

Another headline to emerge from the league meetings is that the Seahawks are set to appear on 'Hard Knocks', just months after their 29-13 Super Bowl LX victory over the Patriots in Santa Clara.

In appearing on the long-running show, which NFL Films produces for HBO, it will be the first time a defending Super Bowl champion has served as the team of focus since the 2001 Baltimore Ravens in 'Hard Knocks' inaugural season.

And it has also been announced that next year, in 2027, the Patriots will appear on the show, which is entering its 26th year.

Posting on X, ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote: "The Seahawks will be featured on this summer’s Hard Knocks. The Patriots will be featured on the 2027 summer Hard Knocks.

"The two teams in this past season’s Super Bowl will take center stage again the next two summers."

Neither team has ever appeared on the show, which documents a team's training camp and build-up to the regular season, in part because of rules that prevented them from being eligible to appear on 'Hard Knocks'.

With both Seattle and New England serving as two of the NFL's winningest teams throughout the 2010s and 2020s, resulting in playoff berths aplenty, neither needed to appear on the HBO show due to a rule stipulating teams that had made the postseason in each of the two previous seasons could opt not to appear on the show.

However, that rule was changed last year, with the Buffalo Bills serving as the focus of the 2025 offseason.

Previously, Seahawks GM John Schneider admitted he would prefer Seattle not appear on the show.

Speaking back in 2013, just months before the Seahawks won their first Super Bowl title against the Denver Broncos, Schneider said, "We understand the interest in this show, but would not want to bring a ton of attention to ourselves."

There are plenty of intriguing offseason storylines surrounding the Seahawks heading into the 2026 NFL season, including who will buy the franchise, which is currently on the market, and how Seattle plans for life after letting Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker leave in free agency.

Walker, who signed a three-year, $45 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month, ran for 135 yards on 27 carries against the Patriots.
