Bernardo Silva is expected to leave Manchester City as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed an illustrious nine-year career at the Etihad Stadium, but is now expected to explore opportunities elsewhere in the final years of his professional career. It is understood Bernardo would like to continue playing at the highest level possible, and his preference would be to remain in Europe.
Bernardo has won six Premier League titles, the Champions League, two FA Cups and five League Cups during his time in Manchester. Pep Guardiola recently admitted he would love the Portugal international to stay at the club 'forever', though he admitted the midfielder had to do what was best for him and his family.

Romano confirms Bernardo exit plan
It seems certain Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City this summer, with no plans for him to be offered a short-term contract extension beyond this season.
Speaking in his latest YouTube video, notorious transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano issued an update on Bernardo and reiterated the plan for him to become a free agent. "Bernardo Silva decision is almost done and made. Unless there is a crazy turnaround in events, he is prepared to leave Manchester City in the summer transfer window," he said.
"Bernardo Silva is seriously considering his future together with his agent Jorge Mendes, and preparing for a summer transfer on a free deal. He is out of contract at Man City at the end of the current season and can have several opportunities, from Saudi, from Turkey, from Europe, Italy, Spain, many questions on Barcelona. He was already a target for Barca three or four years ago. Now it is a different situation; he is a different age, but he is still a fantastic midfielder, one of the best in the world.
"Let's see what happens. At the moment, it is still not the time to mention clubs who will try to sign Bernardo Silva. It is too early to mention where he will go. Bernardo Silva is starting a strategy to pick the best project possible. It is about the sporting side, because he is super competitive, and it is about the family as well. All things are being considered right now."
