TNT Sports pundit Owen Hargreaves says Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should be giving serious thought to signing Como attacking midfielder Nico Paz.

The Argentinian international has had a breakout season in Italy, scoring 11 goals and providing 6 assists in 33 appearances, and Hargreaves thinks he would be a great fit for the Gunners:
“There’s a young lad at Como, Nico Paz. There’s an option for him to go back to Real Madrid, but if I’m Arsenal…”
“This kid – you’ll see him at the World Cup. Mikel Arteta will already know that this boy will be a star, and if you don’t as,k you don’t get. A player like that could suit Arsenal.”
Paz has plenty of suitors
As Hargreaves mentions, Real Madrid have a buyback clause on the 21-year-old that they can trigger at the end of the season.
Paz has also been the subject of interest from Chelsea, while journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed last summer that Tottenham made a bid in the region of €70m (£61m) for the player.
Arsenal don’t need another no.10 (at the moment)
While Paz is clearly someone who has a big future, you struggle to see where he would fit in Arsenal’s current first-team squad.
Arteta has several players who can play in the no.10 position. Captain Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze, Kai Havertz and Max Dowman are all comfortable in that role, as is Ethan Nwaneri, who is out on loan at Marseille.
There are some doubts over the futures of both Odegaard and Havertz due to their contract situations, although the latter has recently played down any prospect of leaving the Emirates. Get a stadium tour with Virgin Experience Days here.
If either were to move on this summer, there may be room for a player like Paz. It must be emphasised, though, Real Madrid are the firm favourites to re-sign the midfielder.
