Bernardo Silva is expected to have a lot of offers on the table and some could well be from Italy, Fabrizio Romano has claimed.
The signings of Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot added some much-needed experience and technical ability to Milan’s midfield department. Ahead of what looks like a return to playing in European competitions – hopefully the Champions League – more could yet be added.
There have been strong links with Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretzka, but also with Bernardo Silva. Rafael Leao’s Portuguese national team-mate is expected to leave Manchester City with over 400 appearances to his name as well as 150 goal contributions (76G, 74A) a nd 18 major trophies.
‘Still too early’
In a video posted by Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, the transfer expert discussed Berardo Silva’s now-definitive decision to leave Manchester City this summer, commenting on the possible destinations.
“What I’m telling you now confirms what I told you some time ago. What I can tell you now is that Bernardo Silva’s decision is almost made, so barring a dramatic U-turn, the Spaniard is ready to leave Manchester in the summer transfer window,” he said (via MilanNews).
“Bernardo is seriously evaluating his future with his agent Jorge Mendes and is preparing for the summer transfer window, where he will move on a free transfer, given that his contract expires at the end of the season.
“Bernardo Silva has several opportunities in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the MLS, Europe – Italy, Spain, and Barcelona above all. The relationship between the Blaugrana and Mendes is excellent, and Bernardo Silva was a target of the Catalan club several years ago. There are currently no clubs worth mentioning that are in contact with the player, it’s still too early.”
