Our mission to defend the UEFA Women's Champions League trophy continues at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, as we take a 3-1 aggregate lead into our quarter-final second leg against Chelsea.
Lotte Wubben-Moy is particularly upbeat about defending the advantage we accrued in N5 last week, as we battle it out with our cross-city rivals for a spot in the last four.
The defender has expressed what an honour it is to continue to achieve in red and white, and has emphasised her belief in her teammates ahead of the trip to face Sonia Bompastor's Blues.
"I relish the opportunity. I relish the moment. I feel a great honour playing for this club, but then an even greater honour to play in these moments," Lotte said during Tuesday afternoon's pre-match press conference at Sobha Realty Training Centre.
"I recall many throughout my years. The thirst and hunger that I have is getting greater and greater. A game like [Wednesday] is one of the opportunities.
"I believe in every player that we have, and I think even more so, I think they believe in themselves. We're not an arrogant team. We're not an overly egotistical team, and I think that plays to our advantage in terms of the quiet confidence that we have. That's definitely something that we possess, and I think it plays to our advantage."
Wubben-Moy has revealed the levels of dedication that go into maintaining success, and discussed the notion of a multitude of ways we can play which represent 'The Arsenal way'.
"We spend many days in this training ground, on the pitch, in the meeting rooms, and I think those incremental moments are what has, and hopefully will, continue to give us the margin when it comes to these big game moments.
"I've kind of already mentioned it, and I think it goes without saying, the weight, or rather, not the weight, I think it gives you a power that playing for Arsenal gives you, and we're made for these big game moments, so any decision that is made at this club is in power of those moments.
"We have The Arsenal ways. Usually we use 'The Arsenal way', just a non-plural, but I think it’s the idea that we will have multiple ways to play tomorrow and then that being something that we can flip and pose the question to Chelsea on."
