The Cleveland Browns have a lot of decisions to make about what to do at the quarterback position during the offseason. Cleveland started three different quarterbacks a season ago. Joe Flacco, Shedeur Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel. Deshaun Watson did not play in 2025 because of injury. There could be a chance that Watson beats out Sanders for the starting quarterback job in 2026.

Cleveland’s ‘culture’ has become synonymous with rewarding mediocrity as long as the price tag is high enough. If any other QB had Watson’s stats and availability over the last three seasons, they’d be fighting for a backup spot on a practice squad. By handing him the job before…

Watson when he last played during the 2024 regular season completed 63.4% of his passes for 1,148 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. He has not been great since being acquired from the Houston Texans. If Watson were to win the starting job over Shedeur Sanders, this franchise doesn’t care about winning and all they care about is making headlines.
