Following Barcelona’s change of stance, Robert Lewandowski postpones deciding his future

Press reports have revealed that the future of Polish star Robert Lewandowski with Barcelona remains uncertain, amid a state of ambiguity surrounding the renewal of his contract during the current period.

The veteran striker’s contract runs until June 2026, meaning he is spending his final season with the Catalan club, amid differing views within the Barcelona management regarding his continued presence.

According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is considering making a new offer to extend the player’s contract for an additional season, with a reduction in his salary, as part of the club’s plan to restructure salaries.

For his part, Lewandowski has not yet made a final decision, as he is considering the options available to him, given the interest of a number of clubs in acquiring his services in the coming period.

The player is attracting interest from prominent European clubs, most notably Juventus and Milan, in addition to tempting offers from clubs in the Saudi and American leagues.

Lewandowski has played 37 games for Barcelona this season in various competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 3 assists.
