NFL, Fox Sports analyst blasts Tiger Woods after latest incident

The world of golf and sports couldn’t help but shake its head this past week. Ahead of one of sports’ greatest events, news broke that a superstar had once again found himself in trouble.

Golf icon Tiger Woods was involved in a single-car crash on March 27. With The Masters Tournament approaching, the sports world watched one of the greatest players in its history walk away unharmed.

While Woods’ health brought relief, reports later revealed that he was arrested for a DUI, drawing scrutiny from multiple media outlets. One NFL media figure has had enough of these types of incidents.

Emmanuel Acho, a Fox Sports analyst, went on his personal podcast SpeakEasy to discuss the latest controversy surrounding Woods. The former NFL linebacker didn’t hold back.

Enough is enough?

“Tiger, you got too many responsibilities, too much money, too much wisdom, and too many gray hairs to, at this big age, in this big year of 2026, be going to jail for DUIs,” Acho began.

Woods’ off-the-course issues began in 2009, when reports exposed multiple affairs involving his then-wife. Since then, he has faced multiple DUI-related incidents, including other car crashes.

“You got kids. You got a family name. You’re an incredibly impactful, significant and successful figure,” Acho voiced to Woods on his podcast. “Beyond all of that, this isn’t your first incident.”

Acho criticized Woods’ judgment and stressed that his choices put everyone on the road at risk—including Woods himself. He concluded by saying, “I’m tired of making exceptions for famous celebrities.”

The story has drawn significant backlash against Woods from other notable commentators. Former golfers, NFL figures, and other athletes have expressed disappointment in the situation.

Details surrounding the DUI arrest and car crash continue to emerge. Multiple reports indicate that alcohol was not a factor and that Woods’ breathalyzer registered a “triple zero.”

Regardless, it is troubling to see the 50-year-old golf icon back in the headlines for negative reasons. Can Acho’s words reach Woods?
