A Man City player has started rebuilding a mansion close to the Chelsea training ground.

Man City could see somewhat of a transfer rebuild in the summer as Pep Guardiola has an ageing squad of players, who have had success at the club under the current manager. The likes of John Stones, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Nathan Ake could all leave in the summer as their contracts are closer to expiring.

Silva and Stones’ contracts are due to expire in the summer. It has already been revealed that Silva is set to leave in the summer, but Stones is expected to extend his deal or move with links to his former club, Everton.

Nathan Ake and Rodri’s contracts expire next summer, so Man City could decide to sell the duo to ensure that they don’t leave for free the following summer, and make some form of financial return on them.

Ake is rebuilding a mansion near the Chelsea training ground

Nathan Ake is expected to leave City in the summer, as his role under Guardiola has significantly reduced in recent seasons. This year, the Dutch international has made 27 appearances in all competitions, including just 14 in the Premier League.

Many expect Ake to leave in the summer, with reports suggesting that he could go to a smaller Premier League club, or potentially a club in Italy, with both AC Milan and Inter Milan keen.

However, according to the Sun, Ake could return to one of his former clubs in Chelsea, as the defender is reportedly rebuilding his mansion near the Chelsea training ground in Cobham. If that’s the case, it seems as though the defender is planning to move down South again, and that could potentially indicate a move back to Chelsea.

It would make sense for Ake to go back to Stamford Bridge, as the Blues are in need of more experienced centre-backs. It is currently their weakest position, and so you could certainly see the Blues turn to a proven Premier League winner like Ake.

Ake was linked to Everton last summer

Both Stones and Ake have been linked with a move to David Moyes’ side, and both could be very shrewd signings. However, you would imagine that Stones moving to Everton would be more likely, seeing as he’s an England international, and he used to play for the Merseyside club before he joined Manchester City in 2016.
