Rumors and speculation surrounding a New York Giants reunion with former wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have been running rampant as of late, and the NFL owners’ meetings have been fanning the flames.
The Athletic’s Dan Duggan revealed that Beckham Jr. was spotted with Giants head coach John Harbaugh at the hotel where the meetings are taking place.
“Odell, who lives in Phoenix, came to the hotel hosting the owners’ meetings last night and was spotted sitting and talking with John Harbaugh,” wrote Duggan.
“Don’t think anything is imminent, but Odell’s interest in a return to NY is obvious. As I wrote yesterday, don’t think the Giants’ interest can be considered serious until they have him in for a workout.”
Duggan also added that Beckham Jr. may have caught up with owner John Mara as well, but didn’t see that one for himself.
Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly Set up Giants Meeting
According to SNY’s Connor Hughes, this meeting was set up by Beckham Jr., and not by the New York Giants‘ brass. It seems the former Offensive Rookie of the Year is really invested in returning to the team that drafted him.
“This was a meeting too, that was organized and set up by Beckham, not the Giants or Harbaugh… Now I can tell you that nothing is imminent from talking to multiple sources involved in these conversations,” Hughes said.

Probable? Little strong. Possible? It sure seems like it
“The Giants, before they even considered signing Beckham, they would need to see him work out in person. You need to see where his injured knee and where his body is.”
It seems both Hughes and Duggan are on the same page about nothing being “imminent” between the Giants and Beckham Jr., despite all the recent reports.
They also both noted that before any signing happens, a workout will have to take place, and there’s almost no doubt one will happen in the coming months.
But it’s getting harder and harder to ignore the smoke rising on a Beckham Jr.-Giants reunion, and Harbaugh fanned those flames himself on Monday.
John Harbaugh & Odell Beckham Jr.’s Relationship
If Beckham Jr. does end up with the New York Giants in 2026, it will be the second time he has played for Harbaugh, having spent the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens.
That past relationship may help bring the two sides together, and Harbaugh spoke at length about their connection in his media appearence at the league owners’ meetings on Monday.
“If Odell’s an option, then we’ll be looking at it, for sure. And he and I do talk, and we do text, and we’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world,” Harbaugh told reporters.

John Harbaugh was asked about Odell Beckham Jr.:
“We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my very favorite people in the world.”
On a possible Giants reunion: “The obvious pat answer would be you look at every option.”
“We’ll just have to see where it all goes. You know, what’s best for him, what’s best for the Giants. That’s the number one thing. It is what’s best for our team and any player. You know, if he helps you be a better team and can make you better, then you’re going to pursue that. So we’ll just have to see where that goes.”
We’ll see just how far the mutual interest between the Giants and Beckham Jr. goes, and if it leads to one of the most high-profile New York sports reunions in recent memory.
Clearly, the base of the relationship is already there between the new head coach and the former All-Pro receiver.
