Marc Cucurella said what all Chelsea fans have been thinking when he criticised the transfer strategy at the club, however supporters can expect a change to the approach when it comes to the summer window.
Cucurella hinted that just signing young players was not helping Chelsea, and their lack of experience hurt them particularly in the Champions League against PSG.
Fabrizio Romano has clarified that Cucurella is not pushing for a move away, however one of their big stars openly criticising the project will always send shockwaves.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has stated that Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali will be ‘disappointed’ to hear those comments, although are aware of the narrative surrounding the club.
He also believes that there will be a change to Chelsea’s policy this summer, expecting them to sign some more experienced players to bolster the squad.

He said: “I think the Chelsea owners will be disappointed with what he’s had to say. What he’s saying is not new, it’s the way a lot of Chelsea supporters feel. It’s the way a lot of ex-Chelsea players feel as well. But it’s significant, because it’s coming from inside the Chelsea dressing room, and a senior player.
“He was just being honest. I think what will really hurt the owners is that a senior player was questioning their strategy, and the really controversial decision to let Enzo Maresca leave.
“I don’t think they will rethink their strategy. I think they will tweak it a little bit. I think they are aware of the fact that a lot of people have criticised them for just buying young players, and going down a route of trading players instead of buying world-class players.
“I would expect them to sign some more experienced players, some ready-made stars. Having said that, senior people at Chelsea would say they have signed established players.
“I think the owners are listening to what fans and ex-players and journalists and now players are saying, and I think they are listening.”

Chelsea not expected to completely abandon youth strategy
With success stories like Estevao Willian and Andrey Santos, the Blues have enough evidence to suggest there is life in their youthful project.
Dastan Satpaev, Geovany Quenda and Mike Penders are all expected to transition to Stamford Bridge soon, and a number of young stars are already on their radar.
Valentin Barco is currently top of that list, with him putting in some very strong performances in the heart of midfield for Strasbourg.
The youngster just scored his first goal for Argentina, outperforming Enzo Fernandez as he adds fuel to the fire over his own future at Stamford Bridge.
