The latest injury news and updates ahead of Manchester City's clash with Liverpool FC this weekend.

Manchester City return to action when they host Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final this weekend.

Pep Guardiola's side head into the match on the back of a victory over Arsenal in the League Cup final last month and will hope to keep their hunt for more silverware alive. City were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid and are nine points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table, albeit with a game in hand.

City have reached the FA Cup final in each of the last three seasons and will hope to make it four in a row this time around. To have any chance, they must defeat Liverpool at home on Saturday lunchtime, and the early team news could be a boost in their favour.

Liverpool could be without Jeremie Frimpong when they face Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-final this weekend.

Frimpong featured from the bench as the Netherlands drew 1-1 with Ecuador on Tuesday night, but lasted less than 15 minutes before he was forced off with an injury concern. Speaking after the international match, Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman stated: “That was a blow, we had to substitute him." A further update on his fitness is expected when Liverpool head coach Arne Slot holds his latest press conference ahead of the Man City clash.

Liverpool expect to have Hugo Ekitike, Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa available for their trip to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Alexander Isak remains a doubt after his lengthy lay-off due to a broken leg, while Alisson Becker, Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni are all still sidelined.
