Camara is viewed at Monaco as their next major sale, continuing the club’s well-established model of developing young stars before moving them on for significant profit, similar to Brighton and Brentford.
The Senegal international has impressed with his consistency, physicality, and ability to dictate tempo in midfield, putting him firmly on Chelsea’s shortlist as they consider reinforcements.
However, the Blues are not alone, as Liverpool are also tracking the player and could provide serious competition, with Arne Slot considering fresh options in midfield. Both clubs have reportedly scouted Camara extensively this season, suggesting genuine interest rather than tentative enquiry.
Any deal will not come cheap. Monaco are under no pressure to sell and are expected to demand a fee of at least £57m, which could be a difficult deal to complete. So far this season, Camara has impressed in Ligue 1, making 25 appearances, and providing four assists. Much like Fernandez, he can play either as a defensive midfielder or in a more advanced position.
