West Ham are keeping close tabs on the situation of Real Betis centre-back Natan, according to reports in the Spanish media.

ABC Sevilla claim that Betis need to raise funds to stay compliant with Financial Fair Play rules before June 30th, and they have identified the defender as one of the likeliest candidates for a sale.

Natan has previously attracted interest from four Premier League clubs, including the Hammers, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Brentford.

Attempts were made to sign the Brazilian during the January transfer window, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side said to have had three offers turned down for the player, but they should have a better chance of recruiting him at the end of the season.

Betis have set an asking price for Natan

It is believed that the 25-year-old will be sold if a club matches his reported €40m (£35m) valuation.

However, due to the pressure that Betis are under financially, they may have to accept a proposal below that amount if they still haven’t raised the requisite funds by the end of June.

West Ham may need to consider alternatives to Disasi

Axel Disasi has impressed since joining from Chelsea on loan at the beginning of February. The Irons are said to be interested in keeping the Frenchman at the London Stadium if they stay up.

However, Disasi is not expected to be available on the cheap. There is no purchase clause in West Ham’s loan deal, and Chelsea are keen on raising as much money as possible from his departure.

It means there is no guarantee that the 28-year-old will end up staying with Nuno Espirito Santo’s team, and Natan is likely being targeted as another potential option.
