Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has received a lot of criticism for his poor play over the last season. Even with the Super Bowl MVP a couple of years ago, his play has not lived up to standards.

Some think that he is not a Top five quarterback at all. Some thought that he was a Top 5 quarterback when he did win the Super Bowl, but he was no doubt exposed last season. Hurts has a lot of prove during the 2026 NFL season with Philadelphia.

There are many people wondering why the Eagles couldn’t get the top offensive coordinators to work with Hurts this offseason. They had to hire Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion instead. One team source said to ESPN, “Poor body language, not always bought in, not the most coachable and the players notice.” This is interesting. Could this be why wide receiver A.J. Brown had issues with Hurts this past season? It is interesting that this stuff is being leaked out now.

If things don’t work out in 2026 with the Eagles, is there a chance that a lot of changes are potentially on the horizon? Could this potentially signal a new quarterback in 2027? Time is going to tell. If Mannion doesn’t work with Hurts, then Philadelphia might need a new signal caller.
