Chelsea set for£210m boost in rare good news for Todd Boehly - journalist

Chelsea’s financial situation has been perilous at times since Todd Boehly and co took over, however the club are anticipating some good news to come their way over the next 12 months.

The Blues were sanctioned by UEFA before the 2025/26 season got underway, seeing them have to sell big in the summer in order to register the likes of Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian to their Champions League squad.

This saw a record-breaking amount made in sales over the summer, with big name exits like Noni Madueke and Joao Felix contributing to that total.

FINAL: Who do YOU think should be Chelsea manager next season?

Chelsea anticipating £700m revenue next season

Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has stated that this led to a positive transfer balance for the Blues, contributing to their £490.9m revenue.

Despite this being their second highest tally in history, Kinsella stated that the club are projecting that revenue to increase to £700m next season.

He said: “Chelsea revenue rose to £490.9m, which is their second highest on record. Also, Chelsea made a positive transfer balance of £57.9m, under pressure from Uefa regulations. Loss before tax is £262.4m, which is a Premier League record.

“Chelsea revenue projected to increase to approx £700m next season. No concerns internally at falling foul of regulatory rules in any competition.”

One of the largest struggles Chelsea have had when it comes to revenue is from matchdays, largely linked to the size of Stamford Bridge.

The stadium simply holds less than the rest of their top six rivals, and is behind Boehly’s desire to move stadium in the near future.

The Blues have also been handed a hefty fine recently after misdemeanours regarding the signings of the likes of Eden Hazard and David Luiz.

The fact that Chelsea self-reported this issue was seemingly the reason why they have escaped any sort of sporting punishment, despite calls for points deductions from rival sides.
